Terms
Terms for the United States Chef Prep personalized meal-planning service.
The version and digest below identify the disclosures presented for this policy release.
Operator, eligibility, and agreement
Chef Prep is operated by Robert Teed, an unregistered sole proprietor operating Chef Prep, at 16589 Valley View Road, Truckee, California 96161. In these Terms, “Chef Prep,” “we,” and “us” refer to Robert Teed operating the service.
The service is offered only in the United States to people who are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and the related Privacy, Subscription, and Support disclosures identified by the version, effective date, and digest shown on these pages.
Service and account
- A signed-in customer can save household preferences and create, review, discard, and rebuild a private AI-generated meal plan.
- The first complete plan does not require a payment card.
- After the first complete plan, ongoing private planning requires a USD $7.99 monthly subscription plus applicable tax.
- Automatic weekly email delivery is disabled and is not part of the service.
Personalized AI plans require review
Chef Prep composes a new private recipe for each selected breakfast, lunch, or dinner slot from the saved household profile and week-specific context. Generated recipes are proposals rather than a browsable recipe catalog and are not represented as individually kitchen-tested.
Automated structure, ingredient, allergen, dietary, serving, time, and food-safety checks reduce risk but cannot guarantee that generated content is error-free or appropriate for every person. You must review the complete plan, ingredient labels, allergies, cooking instructions, temperatures, storage, and reheating guidance before relying on it. Chef Prep is not medical or dietetic advice.
Planning does not place an order
A plan remains a proposal until you approve it. Grocery-list copy and export tools do not purchase groceries, reserve inventory, create a retailer cart, or submit payment.
Chef Prep is a planning product. It is not a meal kit, grocery-delivery service, or medical nutrition service.
Account responsibility and acceptable use
You are responsible for accurate account and household information, safeguarding sign-in access, reviewing generated content, and using the service lawfully. You must not probe or disrupt the service, bypass access controls, submit another person's confidential information without permission, misuse the service unlawfully, or use generated content as a substitute for professional medical advice.
Chef Prep may suspend or terminate access immediately when reasonably necessary for security, safety, suspected abuse, unlawful activity, or legal compliance. In other cases, Chef Prep will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to cure when practical. Account export and deletion remain available through the product subject to active billing, unresolved provider activity, safety incidents, and legal-retention requirements.
Disclaimers, liability, and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chef Prep is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free output, fitness for a particular purpose, or that a generated recipe is safe or suitable for a particular person. Rights that cannot legally be disclaimed remain in effect.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chef Prep is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Chef Prep's total liability arising from the service is limited to the greater of USD $100 or the amount you paid Chef Prep during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where law prohibits it.
You will indemnify and hold Chef Prep harmless from third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs resulting from your unlawful misuse of the service or your material violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by Chef Prep or prohibited by law.
Governing law and disputes
California law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. A dispute must be brought in the state courts located in Nevada County, California, or, when federal jurisdiction applies, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California. These Terms do not require arbitration. Before filing a claim, either party may contact the other through support@getchefprep.com and make a good-faith effort to resolve it informally. Nonwaivable consumer rights remain available.
Changes to these terms
Chef Prep will provide at least 30 days' notice through the service before a material service or price change applies to an existing subscription. Other material policy changes will be identified by a new version and effective date, with notice through the service and additional consent when required by law. Changes reasonably necessary for security, safety, fraud prevention, or legal compliance may take effect sooner. Continued use after an applicable effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
